About Us

Community Giving

Our Community Giving Program encourages relationships with organizations within the community that positively impacts our customers. If you are a State of Florida-registered charitable organization located within the Lakeland Electric territory, serving the public within the territory, please consider submitting an application for our consideration for Fiscal Year 2018.

The application timeline for the Fiscal Year 2018 Community Giving Program is as follows:

  • Lakeland Electric will begin accepting applications for funds June 15th
  • The deadline for application submissions is August 1st
  • The organizations that will be awarding funding to will be notified of selection via letter, the last week of September
  • Funding will be disbursed during the month of October

Each year we receive far more requests for sponsorships than our dollars will allow. We will be limiting the amount of funding granted to each organization to $1,000.00.

To assist us with our decision making and ensuring we maximize our outreach to the community, we ask that each organization that is interested in being considered for Community Giving Program funds prepare and submit an application for review.
