LINEWORKER APPRECIATION DAY
Mayor Mutz noted their profession requires skill, knowledge, passion, and dedication. Lineworkers are often first responders during weather emergencies and other catastrophic situations, working to repair broken and damaged electrical lines for other emergency responders. Lineworkers play a critical role in our communities by maintaining and building electrical infrastructure and exposing themselves to the hazards of working with high voltage electricity.
The City of Lakeland is very proud of its lineworkers and for the very efficient and excellent service they provide for our citizens. Mayor Mutz encourages all Lakelanders to join in the observance of Lineworker Appreciation Day. Mayor Mutz's Proclamation is below.
