Secure or bring inside any outdoor furniture and decorations to prevent them from becoming flying debris. Stay informed by monitoring local news and updates from Lakeland Electric. As the storm draws near, remember that preparation and caution are your best defenses. Together, we can weather the storm and emerge stronger on the other side.
Priority Restoration
Here’s the restoration process we follow if a storm causes multiple outages.
Electric service is restored to those that provide essential community services, such as hospitals, police stations and fire departments. Then, we repair the damage that will return power to the greatest number of customers in the least amount of time. Finally, we restore small groups and individual customers.
Restoration depends on the weather, available crews, materials, and the extent of the area's damage. For more information, please check our Hurricane Guide
