Congratulations to Cynthia Clemmons

This week, Cindy Clemmons, Manager of Legislative and Regulatory Relations, was awarded the Harold Kramer-John Preston Personal Service Award at the American Public Power Association's (APPA) National Conference in Seattle, Washington. This award is given to individuals who have shown outstanding service to the APPA. Cindy works tirelessly to ensure that the utility provides the best possible service to its customers. Her dedication to the APPA and her expertise in legislative and regulatory matters ensures that Lakeland Electric is always up-to-date with the latest industry trends and regulations. Cindy joined Lakeland Electric in Florida in 2015 as the Utility Marketing Manager, after which she was promoted to her current position of Manager of Legislative and Regulatory Relations. During her tenure, she has been a consistently active member of APPA, participating in APPA's Public Communications Committee, Legal & Regulatory Section, and Governmental Relations Working Group. Cindy frequently attends APPA's conferences and workshops, including as a presenter at the National and Customer Connections Conferences. Cindy's achievements go beyond her involvement in the American Public Power Association. She also serves on the Florida Municipal Electric Association's Legislative and Regulatory Committee, where she advocates for policies that benefit the community. Her contributions to the Florida Women in Energy Leadership Forum as a speaker highlight her commitment to empowering women in the industry.
