Community Giving Grant Program

Powering the Community 

Community Giving is one of the most impactful ways we can make a meaningful difference right here in Lakeland. Lakeland Electric is proud to continue its commitment to powering the community by offering grants to state of Florida registered nonprofit organizations. Through these partnerships, we work with local organizations to enhance communities across our service territory. 

Are you part of a nonprofit organization committed to serving the public in Florida? If so, we encourage you to apply for the Community Giving Grant. This program allows us to recognize and support the incredible work being done throughout our community. Because of the high volume of applications each year, the selection process is competitive, ensuring we allocate funding to organizations making the greatest impact. 

Eligible organizations may apply for a grant up to $1,000. Our goal is to extend our support as broadly as possible, helping a wide range of programs and initiatives thrive. Please note that submitting a complete application is required to be considered for a grant.  
 

Important Dates 

The application timeline for the Fiscal Year 2027 Community Giving Grant is as follows: 
 

  • Applications Open: May 20th, 2026 

  • Application Deadline: August 1st, 2026 

  • Notification of Selected Organizations: Last week of September 2026 

  • Funding Distribution: October 2026

Special Note for Previous Grant Recipients 

If your organization received funding during the last fiscal year (October 1st, 2025 – September 30th, 2026), you must download, complete, and return the Update Form when applying for a new grant.
