LAKELAND, FL (January 10, 2010) At approximately 8:30 a.m. this morning Lakeland Electric set a new record for electric usage at 808 MW breaking the record set on January 7th at 779 MW.

LAKELAND, FL (October 27, 2009) – Lakeland Electric was notified by the Department of Energy that the utility has been selected to receive funding as part of the Smart Grid Investment Grant for the installation of smart grid technology.

Lakeland Electric Fuel Charge will Decrease October 1, 2009

LAKELAND, FL (September 21, 2009) ‐ The Lakeland City Commission voted to decrease the fuel charge for Lakeland Electric customers. The current fuel charge for residential customers is $54.75 per 1,000 kWh and effective October 1, 2009 the charge will decrease to $54.25 per 1,000 kWh.
